Dining Alliance is looking for an Outside Sales Consultant in the Austin area. Outside Sales Consultants drive the revenue, establish partnerships with our members and maintain our vendor relationships. We are looking for an entrepreneur that values a team environment. This is a relationship-focused sales position; you are not selling a product; you are selling a partnership.


  • 4-year degree or equivalent work experience
  • MUST be passionate about the Dining Alliance mission
  • Strong B2B sales skills, with 2+ years customer-facing outside sales experience required
  • Cold calling experience
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills
  • Ability to build rapport and credibility
  • Demonstrate experience in building and managing an effective "pipeline" of quality targets
  • Virtual office experience is a plus
  • Excellent time management and organization skills and the ability to work independently
  • The ability to interact professionally and effectively with customers, business partners and Dining Alliance team members


  • Determine market strategies and goals for region
  • Obtain and coordinate data and information from staff and member groups
  • Research and develop lists of potential members; books appointments
  • Develop and follow up on sales leads
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends and developments that effect target markets
  • Establish and maintain industry contacts that lead to sales
  • Develop sales presentations and close sales
  • Make regular sales calls to develop relationships and follow up on leads
  • Meet established sales quotas and revenue goals
