Summary

A pivotal role on the Consolidated Concepts team is the Culinary Supply Chain Specialist. This position focuses on specific clients that require a higher level of support and involvement from a supply chain standpoint.  It requires “face time” with the client which is why we prefer to find someone that is based out of the Waltham office so they are centrally located to travel and visit clients when necessary.   

The Culinary Supply Chain Specialist position requires an individual with high energy, strong work ethic, a high level of organization, and strong interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will have proficient computer skills, worked within the food and beverage industry, and possess knowledge of industry specifics.

Requirements

  • 4-year Bachelor's degree required
  • 5+ years culinary work experience
  • Foodservice purchasing experience 
  • Ability to travel up to 40% of the time
  • Must have excellent organization and follow up skills
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Capable of managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines
  • Think, plan and execute strategically
  • Ability to influence key decision makers and leverage relationships
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Skilled at being a part of a team environment

Essential Duties     

  • Provide guidance on menu development 
  • Provide market insight and education
  • Establish new contracts on non-contracted items when required and warranted
  • Coordinate bids and conducts analysis on critical items and/or categories
  • Provide weekly recap of projects, time allocated, and major communication with clients
  • Communicate with manufacturers and distributors regularly for sourcing initiatives and client projects   
  •  Attend restaurant industry conferences
